My only campaign promise is that I will draft a bill for the House to repeal NAFTA and CAFTA. We need to keep American jobs where they belong....in America.
We need to revise the tax code for corporations who outsource jobs overseas so they can make more profit. If you send more then 20% of your workforce overseas you will lose your company's tax breaks. If you send more then 25% of your workforce overseas you will pay more in taxes . The more you send away the more you pay.
We need to help the farmers. In NC the tobacco farmers are not able to be profitable with tobacco on the decline. The government subsidizes the tobacco crops with grapes for wine vineyards, but it doesn't make much difference. We need to make it realistic for these farmers to grow what can turn them a profit. We can do this by offering Government secured no-interest or low-interest loans for costly harvesting equipment and fertilizers so they can transition away from tobacco and towards being able to support their families the way they should be able to.
We need to regain the entrepreneurial spirit and promote more small businesses and less box store monstrosities. Small businesses are the bricks in our foundation and without them we can not build towards the future.
